Oscar Bautista is a New York–based guitarist whose career spans Broadway, national tours, studio recording, and television. A native New Yorker, Bautista is best known for his work in major Broadway productions including American Idiot (Broadway), Kinky Boots (Broadway and 1st National Tour), School of Rock (1st National Tour), Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Broadway and 1st National Tour), Once On This Island (1st National Tour), Pretty Woman: The Musical (1st National Tour), and Back to the Future (Broadway).

Most notably, Bautista held the full-time guitar chair for the Broadway musical Real Women Have Curves, performing as one of show’s principal guitarists throughout its Broadway run. The production officially opened on April 27, 2025, in New York City, marking Bautista’s first Broadway chair—a significant professional milestone.

Beyond the theater, Bautista has worked and performed with an impressive roster of Grammy Award–winning and internationally acclaimed artists, including Gloria Estefan, Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day), Cyndi Lauper, Norah Jones, Carole King, and Colombian superstar Carlos Vives. His additional performance and recording credits include Rachel Platten, A Great Big World, Tears for Fears, Thalía, Postmodern Jukebox, The Smithereens, and Constantine Maroulis.

Bautista’s studio work includes collaborations with renowned producers such as Gary Katz (Steely Dan), Julio Reyes Copello (Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin), Matt Noble (Rihanna, Michael Jackson), Benjy King (Patti Smyth, Scandal), and Bobby Sanabria (Tito Puente, Dizzy Gillespie). His television appearances include The TODAY Show (NBC), The Martha Stewart Show (CBS), Talk Stoop (NBC), Million Dollar Listing New York (Bravo), and The Katie Couric Show (ABC).

In addition to his Broadway and session work, Bautista performs with Every Breath You Take – to Sting & The Police, delivering high-energy performances that highlight his versatility, precision, and deep musicality.
